    300 Blackout hunting loads.

I was wondering what everybody was loading In their blackouts for deer/hog hunting. The barnes 110gr tipped bullet seems to be a favorite. The Nosler 125 bt has a strong following. The hornady 125gr sst gets mixed reviews. I’ve read about people using the hornady 110gr vmax on deer with great results ( saying it performs like a traditional bullet due to low velocity). What works or hasn’t worked for you guys?

I load the Barnes Tac TX FB 110 over 20 gr of H110 seems to work well but for target i use Nosler varmageddon 110 gr. it runs close to 2400 fps.

The 125 grain Noslers shoot great from mine but the only thing I have killed game with is 160 grain RNGC that I cast and load over IMR4198. Worked well on the hogs I shot with them.

I’m mainly shooting 110 grain V-max. I do have a few other bullets that I plan to try soon but have piled up a lot of meat with these and haven’t had a single issue.

What kind of meat have you been piling up with that vmax?

I’ve killed a few deer and around 30 hogs with them. All but 1 has exited. Distances from 5 feet to around 100 yards.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing. I’ve been curious about the vmax on game.
